Please Whitelist This Site?

I know everyone hates ads. But please understand that I am providing premium content for free that takes hundreds of hours of time to research and write. I don't want to go to a pay-only model like some sites, but when more and more people block ads, I end up working for free. And I have a family to support, just like you. :)

Please think about the value you get from this free site, and consider adding it to the whitelist for Adblock. To do so, just open the Adblock menu and select "Disable on freelancingguide.net". Or go to the Tools menu and select "Adblock Plus Preferences...". Then click "Add Filter..." at the bottom, and add this string: "@@||freelancingguide.net^$document". Then just click OK.

Thanks for your understanding!

Sincerely, Charles Kozierok

Key Strategy Tips for New Freelancers

You are currently reading the first of the five main chapters of the Online Freelancing Guide. Since it deals with planning, much of the information here is of specific interest to those who are starting out as online freelancers. The remaining four chapters contain a plethora of additional information for both new and experienced freelancers, in the essential areas of project listing evaluation, proposal writing, project management and career building. These chapters are designed to be comprehensive, and I recommend that you read all of the information they contain—at least, once I’ve finished writing them all. :) But as a new freelancer you probably want to get started without going through so much information all in advance.

Accordingly, I have gone through the remaining four chapters of this Guide and distilled their contents into a set of tips and suggestions specifically for new freelancers. Each of the four topics in this section corresponds to one of these chapters, and contains a handy summary of what I consider my most important advice to those just starting out.
